Week 76 19/08/2015 - Summer Holidays

Photo Blog Week 76 - Wed 19 August 2015

Very busy day at Lyme Park today and I was co-opted onto directing traffic through to the rear and overflow car parking for an hour or so.
I'm off to a music festival in the morning and should be loading the car now so in the interests of remaining married it's just the photo's and no commentary this week.
I'm away again next week so please come back for more in September.

Today's track

Total: 5.53 miles (8.9 km)  4 hr 00 min

duration includes car parking and stops for chats, inspections, photo's and snacks

Whilst I'm Away - a taste of ther Pyrenees

Have You Missed Me?

Wed 29 Jul - Wed 12 Aug 2015

I hope you haven't come by recently and been too disappointed to see no new post.

Delta-Ged got his calendar wrong a couple of weeks back. I thought I was going away Thur 30th but it was actually Wed 29th! Otherwise, I would have announced another break and to expect no post for 2 weeks and look out on or after 12th August.
So, "What happended to the 12th?", I hear you say (or not). Well, I arrived back from a tour of the French Atlantic Coast and crossing the Pyrenees into Spain with a mighty stomach bug and was in no fit state for patrolling anywhere on Wednesday.

I expect to be in this week, Wed 19th Aug., but I'm travelling again and will miss Wed 26th. I hope to get some photo's uploaded this week but probably no commentary.

September may bring changes to my patrol pattern but I do hope to continue the blog so please keep coming back for a look.

To Keep You Entertained

As you've taken the trouble to visit, here are a few random views from France and the Pyrenees taken last week.

Gavarnie

Cirque de Gavarnie and the Grande Cascade

This is one of our favourate places that we have travelled to. Incredible earlier in the year when snow still lies on the ledges. The grandeur of the place is stunning and the green valley appproach beautiful.
